Using first-party data, VisitCostaRica.com delivers custom content to visitors on key segments of the site through personalization platforms. These personalized segments outperformed other nonpersonalized segments of the website, solidifying that our personable approach spoke to Visit Costa Rica’s audiences:

To further engage site visitors, a quiz uncovers their traveler profile and provides corresponding itineraries tailored to their interests. The quiz has an impressive 50% completion rate and captures targeted first-party data to enhance further personalization.
And for those who might want more assistance and customizability in their travel planning, we placed an intuitive AI-powered trip planner at various touchpoints on the site. Powered by Mindtrip, the AI trip planner continuously learns user preferences to deliver personalized recommendations. It was also trained to prioritize sustainable-certified hotels to align with Costa Rica’s brand values. With an overall engagement rate of 2%, it performs and increased engagement over the website’s existing chatbot by 238%.
